Denise Wood’s entry into photography as a hobby began when she was seeking a way to record the wonderful scenes she enjoyed while hiking in the mountains of Maine and New Hampshire. She set out on a quest to recreate those magical moments inspired by nature, embarking on a journey to achieve a deeper understanding of image creation from capture to print. Since that time, she has been evolving as a photographer.

She mostly prefers nature and travel photography, but finds also the beauty in everyday moments and subjects. For Wood, it has been a wonderful process of discovery and continual learning.

Denise Wood’s display will be showing at the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library, 4 Oak Street, Boothbay Harbor, during the month of August. Feel free to come in and take a look anytime during the library’s new business hours: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
