Dear Editor:

I walk every day, basically the same route. Last spring my husband and I picked up trash and bottles. Now sadly, it is time to do so again.

I have a challenge for all of us:

1. Take two bags. Go for a walk and pick up what you see.  Recycle in one bag; trash in the other. If you are adventurous, get in the car and go to a new place and do the same thing!

2. Keep two bags in your vehicle.  Keep your trash and recyclables in them until you are ready to properly dispose of them.

3. Tie down your stuff going to the dump to keep it from flying off!
