LCRC monthly meeting July 22

Mon, 07/13/2020 - 1:00pm

The Lincoln County Republican Committee will be holding its monthly meeting at its headquarters located at 241 Route 1, Damariscotta Maine on July 22. The grounds will be open for the meeting at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 7. It will be held outdoors on the porch. An alternative location has been established in the event of rain.

In addition to our usual Pledge of Allegiance, treasurer’s report, etc., there will be two very informative speakers who will aid those interested in helping candidates get elected in November, if people are really interested in organizing and participating in a productive campaign effort that will get results.

First up will be Trenton Stewart and Aaron Kregenow from the Trump Victory Team. They will be presenting a “simple app.” The app actually is a quite sophisticated tracking system with surveys and suggested conversations for those members that have a desire to reach out to voters by phone and in person. This is a proven system for getting folks out to vote, well beyond monthly get togethers, social events and chatting among ourselves. There will be plenty of hard work and organizing after we hear how this “simple app” can be used.

And then the renowned Deborah Sanderson will present to us. MS Sanderson was a former Republican member of the Maine House of Representatives representing District 88 from 2010 to 2018. She was unable to run again due to term limits. She was last assigned to the Health and Human Services in 2017. Sanderson has a reputation of being a dynamic speaker. Additionally, she has been involved in organizing a very important publication that explains issues in very factual and neutral ways. A great public service!

We will hear from Deb on the importance of getting out there and being prepared to do what it takes to really support our candidates in these final months of an important election. She has been there, done that, and understands what it takes to be elected.

All Republicans, and conservatives, interested in small government and personal responsibility, are encouraged to attend. All candidates are welcome and encouraged to ask for all the help they want from our membership to support you in your elections.
