The Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club's high school club sailing team made some impressive marks on the Maine Junior sailing scene at the Breakwater Blast held in Rockland last weekend. The Boothbay Harbor sailors finished eighth out of 12 teams in the A division and sixth out of 12 in the B division.

In race five of the A division, the high school sailors placed first. In race six, they finished third. In the B division, the locals finished 32nd in the second race and first in the fifth race.

Sherman Brewer and Sally Jarmuz sailed for Boothbay in the A division. Sarah Caron and Jo Shaw sailed for the B division team.

The club sailing team is coached by Sally Lloyd, who is director of the BHYC Junior Program.
