Jill Moore Blake-Correa, 75, of Boothbay Harbor, passed peacefully on Sept. 4, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family at home in Boothbay Harbor.

Jill was born on Oct. 3, 1947, the youngest of five children. She was proud to be the daughter of local lobsterman, Arthur G. Blake and Virginia (Moore) Blake. A true Boothbay Harbor local, she grew up on the East Side and loved skating on Bennett Pond with siblings and her many childhood friends.

While attending Boothbay Region High School, Jill enjoyed many activities. She was a majorette and was proud to lead the marching band in parades, played basketball, and also acted in school plays.

She graduated from Boothbay Region High School in 1965. After high school, she moved to Maryland, to live with her sister Ann and brother-in-law Sam Blanks. She worked in Washington, D.C at the FBI and attended Patricia Stevens Modeling School. While in Maryland she met her husband, Robert. She returned to live full-time in Boothbay Harbor, the place she loved, three years ago.

Jill’s true passion was to sing. She loved singing at the Tugboat Inn lounge with Kay Brown surrounded by friends and family. People who came to see her said she had the voice of an angel. She was a beautiful soul and was kind to everyone. She was a loving wife, mother and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Dorothy Patton, Jean McVicker, and her brother Lee Blake.

She is survived by her husband Robert; their four children, daughters Gilda Merson, Jennifer Correa, Alicia Morris, and son Robert Correa; sons-in-law Eric Lowe and Hans Morris; her five grandchildren, Miranda Merson, Dominic Merson, Aidan Merson, Dylan Morris, Ella Morris; and her beloved sister Ann Blanks.

She will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life will be held at the Tugboat Inn lounge on Sunday, Oct. 8 from 1 to 4 p.m.
