Dear Editor:

Back several weeks ago, on Jan. 10 and 13, I saw the biggest and worst storms yet here on Ocean Point. They certainly were the highest and most destructive coastal storms in 46 years, back on Jan. 9 and Feb. 7, 1978.

It was very exciting to see all the surf and tides, with the water going way up onto lawns and over the roads all around the southern and western sides of the Point, but of course we certainly didn’t want the destruction all these coastal storms can cause.

I saw all the action ... the big waves went up over the Ocean Point Chapel steps and onto the lawns near 1 tree!
