Dear Editor:

I hope you can read this letter as I tend to shake when I am this mad. I just read “Guns don’t kill people, ammunition does” in your paper. I used to think this letter writer was an intelligent woman. She had it half right anyways, guns don’t kill people. Neither does the ammo – it’s the idiot pulling the trigger. It doesn’t take a genius to figure that out. She hints at shooting honest, law-abiding people, because they defend all of our rights to have a gun, that’s the mentality that drives people to go out in public and open fire.

If you want shootings like this to stop, make the punishment fit the crime. Build a gallows on the front yard of every courthouse in the country and use them. I saw the Colorado killer on TV. He dyed his hair orange, rolls his eyes, bobs his head – uh oh, mentally unfit to stand trial, let’s send him home and tell him not to do it again. He probably won’t get much more than that anyways.

One more thing to think about, Mrs. Cameron. What is one or more people in that theater had a concealed weapons permit and were armed? Might have made a big difference. Instead of wanting to take guns and ammo away, there should be more people carrying guns. Then the bad guys would think twice.

Now I have to go to Backwoods Gun Shop and stock up on ammo, before some idiot puts restrictions on it, to help the outlaws out even more.
