Hootenanny hoorahs
Dear Editor:
I’d like to thank all the musicians and all my lady singers who did such a great job this year at the Hometown Hootenanny. It was such a pleasure to work with you all.
It was a great night and we raised some good money for our Opera House. Cathy (Sherrill) and her crew do such a great job each year. The sound guy, Joe, was superb. The Sweating Bullets band did another great, bang-up job. If you missed the show this year, mark your calendars for March next year.
I’d like to thank my sponsors: Harold Bishop Agency, Karen’s Hideaway, Shoreline Heating, Page’s Septic, Timber’s Auto, Slick’s, Boothbay Region Home Improvements, Freedom Auto Care, and Pat Farrin & Sons.
I would like to also thank the Knights of Pythias for the use of the hall to practice. As I stated on the night of the show, we had only two rehearsals, but everyone pulled it off. I am proud of all of you and thanks to the patrons who supported the cause, and to all who support The Murky Water Band.
