Hodgdon Yachts launched its new service center on Southport Island on Sunday, June 29, with an open house celebration that featured good food, drinks, music by the Holy Mackerels, and plenty of company.

Over the past decade, the centuries old East Boothbay family-held shipbuilder has expanded and diversified its shipbuilding operations. On June 1, Hodgdon Yachts merged the Boothbay Region Boatyard on Southport and Wotton’s Wharf in Boothbay Harbor with its shipyard in East Boothbay. In its new facilities in Boothbay Harbor and Southport, Hodgdon Yachts’ Services Division will provide maintenance, repair and refit services for recreational boats, as well as boat storage. 

Hodgdon Yachts now has three facilities in the Boothbay region, as well as interiors and custom tender construction divisions in Damariscotta and Richmond.
