Helen Farnham is Community Center’s ‘Artist of the Month’

The Boothbay Region Community Center has just recently opened its doors, and its Artist of the Month for September is Helen Farnham.
Farnham has been painting since she was a child, following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother.
“I first learned about the Community Center by reading about it in the Register, and knew I wanted to be a part of it,” Farnham said.
Farnham, as Artist of the Month, has donated a framed painting of hers to be raffled off. Tickets can be purchased in the lobby of the Community Center for $1 each Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Farnham will be teaching art classes at the center as well. Her first class is in needle-felting, and will meet Nov. 5 and 12 from 10 a.m. to noon. The class is free, and a sign-up sheet with materials list can be found at the center.
