Heartsick and disgusted
Dear Editor:
I am heartsick and disgusted at the theft of a window box that I have planted for 5½ years for St. Andrews Village. It was placed behind the first bench on Emery Lane and planted according to the seasons. It was stolen! I watered it at 7:30 Monday night (July 4) and Tuesday morning it was gone! I have done this for the visitors and residents of St. Andrews Village so that as they arrive, there is something beautiful to bring them in.
As long as I am disgusted about the planter, I might as well say I have no respect for the four young boys (middle school age) who sat on the bench on Emery Lane to eat their lunch and leave their trash! Purple drink, caffeinated beverages, nachos and paper bag, all just tossed on the ground, under the bench and behind. They walk up the path toward Middle Road! Next time I see them, I will not mince words.
Heartsick and disgusted.
