Heartfelt appreciation and thanks
Dear Editor:
I am writing to express my humble and complete gratitude for the wonderful project you've completed in Boothbay Harbor.
My son, Thomas Collier and his wife, Lindsey, along with my granddaugher, are today the proud owners of 9 Alexander Way. They've been desperately searching for a home in coastal Maine that they could afford for years and were becoming very discouraged.
They were caught in the rental treadmill, unable to find a home within their price range that didn't require nearly impossible work to make liveable. Over and over again they had tried to purchase a home, only to be quickly outbid by people coming from outside of Maine who simply had more money to spend.
Tom is fortuante to work remotely so he could be flexible and move to your beautiful community. He has lived in Maine his whole life.
And, if it helps to know, your project absolutely kept Tom and his family in Maine.
Because of lower prices here in Western New York, where I live, Tom was getting ready to find a home out here. But he very much wanted to find a way to own a home in Maine, and you made that possible.
I am so completely grateful and thankful to your organization for what you've done. My son and his family will be happy and productive members of your community. Thank you so much for your tremendous contribution to coastal Maine's future.
William Collier
