Harry Anneley

Tue, 06/25/2019 - 9:45am

Harry Anneley, 90, passed away on June 21, 2019 at his home in Edgecomb, Maine.

He was born on Dec. 7, 1928 in Dennisville, New Jersey, the son of the late Harry and Emma Anneley.

He married his wife, Mary Ellen, on April 22, 1952.

Harry loved the work he did for over 30 years as a professional truck driver for Chemical Leaman Tanklines. He was proud to have driven over two million miles without a chargeable accident. After retiring in 1990, he continued to work as a driver for Farmington Ford and Jeep Chrysler in Farmington, Maine. He would travel to various locations and retrieve cars for the dealership.

He was a kind, caring and non-judgmental person and no one knew better than his family and friends. His family was his primary focus and interest, and while an avid salt water fisherman for recreation, was never without family or a friend by his side.

A remembrance of Harry’s life will be held on Sunday, June 30 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Waters Edge Event Center in Edgecomb, Maine.

Harry was predeceased by his wife, Mary “Marie,” and son, John.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Anneley; grandson, Harry E. Anneley; cousin, Evelyn Hartum; niece, Jean Lashley; and nephew, David Lashley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
