Halloween food drive for food pantry

During the month of October, Southport Central School 6th graders Makayla Abbe, Silas Kaler and Georgia Griffith put together a food drive. Every time a student brought in a food item they got a pencil and one ticket (a ticket meant they could wear one Halloween item on the Friday before Halloween, and their name was submitted for a Grab Bag drawing).
The 6th graders had so much fun putting this event together, and they collected a lot of donated food to deliver to the region’s food bank!
