This weekend Lincoln County Community Theater (LCCT), the resident theater company of Damariscotta’s historic Lincoln Theater, opens their 154th production! “Halfway There,” a comedy by Norm Foster, will be presented live and fully staged from Thursday, Nov. 17 through Saturday, Nov. 26.

Since 1977, LCCT has been bringing the community together and entertaining audiences across Lincoln County and beyond, and this year’s production is sure to delight! “Halfway There” is set in a Maine diner and stars a cast of five local actors. The script is filled with witty dialogue and the relationships between the characters just plain feel like home. We could all use a fun night out, and “Halfway There” is the perfect excuse. Curtain going up!

Performed live on stage, “Halfway There” is directed by John Mulcahy, with Mallory Adams, Soren Barker, Carole Florman, Nanette Hennig Fraser and Jennifer True.

Welcome to Rangeley, Maine, a small town halfway between the North Pole and the equator, where not much changes from day to day for its small population of just over 1,000.  Janine, a waitress at the local diner, is joined for a late afternoon coffee, every day at the close of her shift, by her closest friends, Vi, Rita, and Mary Ellen. When Sean, a heartbroken doctor, moves to town, the four friends start to wonder – have they found everything they’re looking for in Rangeley? As relationships develop and secrets are revealed, this heartwarming comedy proves we can all get by with a little help from our friends.

Curtain goes  up at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17 and Friday, Nov. 18; and at 2 and7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, Friday, Nov. 25 and Saturday, Nov. 26. Tickets: $15/adults, $13/members, $5 for youth are available in advance at LincolnTheater.net or at the door.
