Dear Editor:

It was a wonderful grand opening on Friday, May 26 for the Clifford Park upgrade and the weather was great.

We thank Paul Coloumbe for his generosity and, of course, cutting the ribbon; the town of Boothbay for getting the grants; the town manager for organizing it all; the Boothbay Region Lions Club for getting the Little League field together, especially for the food at the snack bar; Lion Tom Nickerson for his help and knowledge; and Y Arts for their wonderful singing and dancing. It is a beautiful park for all to use.

I hope the BCA will help more for the Little League field. They want covers for the dugouts and some more low bleachers. Over the years, the BCA has helped with Clifford Park. We need some more projects and young people and some of us older ones to help.

Thank you again Paul for your help with the park.
