On Saturday, Sept. 26, Wicked Good Yoga of Wiscasset will host Bmoved, a worldwide Baptiste Yoga event, to raise funds for the Baptiste Foundation and local charities around the globe.

Join Wicked Good Yoga teachers and staff as we make history by practicing with a purpose. Over 100 yoga classes across the globe will be offered with a goal of raising $500,000. The event will be hosted by Wicked Good Yoga and benefit the Good Shepherd Food Bank. The events/class are open to the public and registration details can be found at www.wickedgoodyoga.com.

“This is an opportunity to be of service to the 1 in 7 Mainers who depend on over 600 food pantries throughout the state, which are supplied by the Good Shepherd Food Bank,” said Melanie Burns, Wicked Good Yoga’s owner and director of leadership. “The Baptiste Foundation is a tremendously powerful worldwide partner in this mission and we are honored to host this event in Maine.”

Wicked Good Yoga Teachers will volunteer their time leading these classes. Suggested donation is $20. 

Class 1. bMoved Sunrise on the Waterfront (near Le Garage) with Bobbi Jo Barden: 6-7:30 a.m.: Salute the Sun as it rises over the Sheepscot River with this energetic and inspiring community leader, yoga teacher, EMT, and firefighter Bobbi Jo Barden.  

Class 2. bMoved Morning Vinyasa on the Waterfront (near LeGarage) with Melanie Burns and Live Music provided by Katie Matzel 9:30-11 a.m. Move and bMoved uplifted by the sweet sounds of live music while inviting in the elements of flowing water and open sky. Have your photo taken in your favorite pose by photographer Mallorie Nadeau!  

Class 3. bMoved at Duckpuddle Campground, Nobleboro. Join Meredith Blakesly, Wicked Good Yoga teacher and owner of Duckpuddle Campground in Nobleboro for an expansive, outdoor celebration of community in a fun hour long Baptiste yoga class, while raising funds for the Baptiste Foundation and Good Shepherd Food Bank.
