Tickets go on sale online starting Friday, April 22 at 8 a.m. for the Gala Opening of “Downton Abbey: A New Era” on Friday, May 20, 6 p.m. at the Harbor Theater.

General seating tickets will be on sale until May 13 at 10 p.m. No reserved seats. Go to: www.simpletix.com/e/downton-abbey-a-new-era-gala-opening-night-tickets-1.... Tickets are limited to 100 (75% capacity). Any tickets still available will be sold at the theater the night of the event.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Champagne and hors d'oeuvres will be served in the lobby. Arrive early to find your place with friends and enjoy a glass of champagne before the costume parade, which starts at 6:30. The film, rated PG with a runtime of 2 hours, 5 minutes, starts at 7 p.m.

Dress as though you were attending a 1929 British wedding (one of the big events of this film, set in the flapper era). Lisa Kristoff (Boothbay Register's famed Art and Culture Editor), will judge the costumes and award prizes.
