George “Geezil” Giles, 84, of Boothbay died Feb. 13, 2019.
He was the son of Lermond and Avis Giles
His passions were hunting and lobster fishing in the Damariscotta River. He started fishing at the age of 10 in a skiff with traps that his grandfather gave him and he never wanted to stop.
He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Mary Jane (Beam) Giles; his granddaughter, Katie Harrington; in-laws Clay and Naomi Beam; sisters, I. Phyllis Poole, Priscilla Bryer, Pauline Wylie and Leta Bryer; and brother, Lenwood Giles.
He is survived by his daughters, Dolores Giles of Boothbay and Linda Giles of Edgecomb; grandchildren, Angela (Doug) Wood of Bremen, Amy Harrington of Damariscotta, Joe Frazer of Boothbay and Ashley Frazer of Boothbay; great-grandchildren, Alyssa (Harry) Stred, Rachel Wood, Luke Wood, Amber Rose Wood, Gabe Hackett, Alex Hackett, Aryana Gray and Delilah Frazer; great-great-granddaughter, Rosalynn Stred; sisters, Julia Holmes, Jean Cunningham, Judith Owen; and many nieces and nephews.
