Generous quilters

Dear Editor:

As director of Wrap-A-Smile, the project which supplies comfort quilts to babies and children receiving cleft lip and cleft palate surgery, I want to extend my special thanks to the Boothbay region quilters who are continuing to sew for our project.  Kwiltz4Kids members Colleen Gaffey, Karen Keyes, Deb Lewis and Cindy Goodwin recently donated more quilts which had been started at our Quiltathon last month.  Thank you K4K!

I also want to thank by name the Just Sew Friday morning Community Center quilters; Angel Ames, Bobbie Reed, Stephanie Guite, Martha Hess, and the late Grace Morgan. I approached them with a simple request for help attaching labels to our quilts, but  before I knew it they had put their skilled fingers together and gave Wrap-A-Smile a stack of 15 colorful quilts. Generosity abounds!
Thank you for helping us wrap our little patients in comfort and love on the day their smiles are restored.  We couldn’t do this without our generous quilters.
