Dear Editor:

Our local American Legion Auxiliary Unit #36 would like to thank everyone who unselfishly gave though donations and time during our two most recent fundraising events. The annual Poppy Drive and Be The One walk-a-thon raised over $3,000 this year!

All funds raised for the Poppy Fund will be redistributed to a veteran and/or family of a veteran in need in our own local community. 

The now annual walk-a-thon donations has gone directly to our own state's VA system in Togus for ongoing programs for suicide awareness and prevention for our veterans.
