On Saturday, Sept. 9, all across the state of Maine, volunteers will be offering to wash windshields at Irving and Circle K gas stations. Customers will have the opportunity to make a donation to their local team, as volunteers and members of the Boothbay Charities Classic Committee offer to wash windshields during the event in Boothbay Harbor.

The Boothbay Charities Classic 27th annual event takes place on Sept. 22 and 23, involving the Lobster Bake and Sports Auction on Friday and the main event of a full round of golf on Saturday. A slew of celebrities from Hall of Fame sports figures to TV personalities attend annually.
