The first ever Founder’s Community Day is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Boothbay Railway Village Museum. The event will become an annual celebration to commemorate museum founder, George McEvoy’s vision of preserving history and his lifelong service to the Boothbay region. Museum admission will be free for residents of peninsula town’s Edgecomb, Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, East Boothbay, Barter’s Island, and Southport. Attendees will also enjoy live music by local favorites Chris and Dave Gagne from noon to 2 p.m. and light refreshments. 

On behalf of the museum, we wish to thank the town of Boothbay for providing a donation for a one-time allocation that will allow us to kick off this annual event we will be offering our community each year.
