Former Boothbay town manager under investigation
A former Boothbay town manager is under investigation by New Hampshire state police.
John Anderson, who served as Boothbay’s town manager from 2000-2010, was placed on paid administrative leave from his position as Derry, New Hampshire town administrator on July 12 while state police conduct an investigation into allegations against him.
Acting Town Administrator Larry Budreau said in a telephone call on Monday, that allegations against Anderson were brought to the attention of the town last Friday. In a closed session that same day, the Derry Town Council decided to place Anderson on paid administrative leave and referred the matter to state police investigators.
Budreau said he could not disclose the nature of the allegations against Anderson but he did say they do not involve the town.
