The Boothbay Region Food Pantry will make Thanksgiving vouchers available to Food Pantry clients on Saturday, Nov. 11. The vouchers, made to order for each pantry family, may be picked up between 9 and 11 a.m. at the food pantry. They are valid for use at the local Hannaford and must be used by the end of November. Christmas vouchers will be provided to pantry families from 9 to 11 a.m. on Dec. 16.

The pantry is located on the ground floor of the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor. Established in 1968, it has served people in need of food assistance in Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Southport, and Edgecomb for 55 years. Because of the ongoing generosity of seasonal and year-round residents, the pantry is able to offer a wide variety of fresh, canned, frozen, and boxed food free to clients, who come once a month, and to anyone who has an emergency situation.
