Fear: What is it?

Mon, 08/23/2021 - 3:15pm

    Dear Editor:

The Oxford Language Dictionary defines Fear as: Unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain or threat.

The Webster dictionary defines Fear as: Unpleasant often strong emotion caused by an anticipation or awareness of danger.

Fear is the greatest offensive weapon an enemy can use against its adversary, even without the threat of bodily harm.

Fear causes us to question our safety and our well being, and question the principles by which we live our lives.

If you have been feeling hopeless , discouraged and fearful, know the the greatest weapon against fear is God's peace and His assurance that He will be with you through any trial.
