FASCAR rally kicks off youth group at Boothbay Baptist

Area kids of all ages are invited to the annual FASCAR rally at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at Boothbay Baptist Church.
Children may bring their own Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars, or use some supplied by the church, to race on the computerized track in the Fellowship Hall downstairs in the church. Trophies, medals and other prizes will be awarded for various age groups, and healthy snacks will be provided.
This free event is the kick-off for the Word of Life Olympian youth group which meets Wednesday evenings at the church. Eric Brown of Word of Life Ministries will be on hand, along with the volunteer leaders, to introduce the youth group program and encourage kids to learn about God in a caring setting with fun activities and challenges.
Olympians youth group is for children in grades 1-6 and will start meeting Wednesday, Oct. 7, 6:15-7:45 p.m. Activities include a Bible lesson, games, songs, snacks, and occasional special events. Olympians follows the school calendar.
The teen youth group, open to students in grades 7-12, has started meeting and meets 5:30 Sunday evenings at the church.
