Dear Editor:

Approximately a month ago, the very efficient Boothbay Region Ambulance Service was called to take my husband to the Miles Campus Emergency Room. Within a short time after his arrival at the ER, his situation severely deteriorated. He was transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU).

I want to commend Dr. Fox and the ER staff, as well as Dr. Weaver and the staff of the ICU, for their exceptional attention and care shown to both of us during his stay at Miles. In spite of the extremely stressful circumstances, it turned out to be a positive experience.
