Dear Editor:

I was traveling south on Route 27 Friday morning when an Edgecomb Fire Truck blocked the road at River Road. I turned left, soon found a Boothbay employee at a detour sign. One more turn and a Boothbay Harbor Fire Truck was blocking Route 27 North. I continued south.

There was excellent coordination among the towns to direct traffic around this incident.
