An evening to celebrate and support conservation

Mon, 07/25/2022 - 10:00am

Tickets are now available for Boothbay Region Land Trust’s summer fundraising event--Celebrate! Signs of Conservation. This event will take place under the tent at Oak Point Farm on Thursday, Aug. 4 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. The event will feature live music and dancing, a special auction of retired BRLT preserve signs, as well as delicious food and cocktails. Come out for an unforgettable evening on the beautiful shores of Hodgdon Cove all in support of land conservation and public access!

The evening will begin under the tent with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and spectacular water views. Once everyone is settled in, catching up with old friends and making some new, the land trust will kick-off a live auction of retired BRLT preserve signs with beloved local auctioneer, Doug Gimbel. Have you always dreamed of displaying your favorite preserve sign in your cottage (Porter Preserve anyone)? Now is your chance! These beautifully rustic wooden signs will be the topic of conversation and envy at every dinner party! To view signs in advance, visit the land trust’s Facebook page.

Portland band Champagne Casanova will officially get the party started with tunes that you know and love. These seasoned musicians can play anything from Fleetwood Mac and Tom Petty, to The Bleachers and Olivia Rodrigo. We guarantee you’ll hear a favorite tune, and if you don’t, request one!

Hors d'oeuvres, food stations, and an open bar will be provided all evening by Seacoast Catering & Lobster Bakes. Whether you are vegan, gluten free, vegetarian, or desire a heartier protein, there will be something for every diet and preference.

This event has been made possible by the generous support of many local businesses, including lead sponsors Linekin Bay Resort, Smuggler’s Cove Inn, Newagen Seaside Inn, and Pine State Beverage.

This is a summer event you won’t want to miss! Tickets are $150/person or for $1,500 you can reserve a VIP table for eight. To purchase tickets, visit bbrlt.org, or call or stop by our office at Oak Point Farm. Interested in bidding on a sign, but not able to attend the event? Absentee bids for signs will be accepted.
