Edgecomb encourages absentee voting

For your safety and the safety of others, the town clerk of Edgecomb is encouraging absentee voting for Maine’s June 9 Primary Election. Applications for an absentee ballot are available now by the following means:

  1. Online: Go to Maine.gov, click on online services, absentee ballot request, all other voters, fill out the form and submit. If you prefer to mail or fax, print the form and mail it to: Town of Edgecomb, P.O. Box 139, Edgecomb, ME 04556. It can be faxed to 207-882-7381.
  2. Telephone requests are accepted only by the registered voter on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 1 and 5 p.m. at 882-7018. All other times: 633-5324 or 350-0963.
  3. Email requests cannot be accepted.

Absentee ballots will be mailed in May. You must be enrolled in a party for a primary election. You will receive a ballot only for the party in which you are enrolled, Democratic, Green or Republican. There will be no referendum ballot in June. Please note the polls will be open June 9, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., for those who do not wish to vote absentee.
