Early Bird Sale & PJ Party: It’s on!

Mon, 10/26/2020 - 8:45am

The 32nd annual Early Bird Sale & Pajama Party, that jumpstart on holiday shopping in the Boothbay region, is still happening as always the weekend before Thanksgiving. On Saturday, Nov. 21 merchants will be offering those great traditional discounts we all look forward to.

Due to COVID-19, limited numbers of people – in many shops, as few as five – will be permitted in shops at one time depending on the size of the space. And that new accessory, the mask, continues to be necessary. But think of it as a chance to create a limited edition, to coordinate with your PJs. In any case, don’t leave home without one – or your shopping list!

If you forget your coffee heading downtown, no worries! On Union Street, Brady’s opens at 6 a.m. They’ll be mixing mimosas and serving hot breakfast ‘til 11 a.m. to keep shoppers fueled and happy.

Businesses have been thinking for a while about how this beloved annual tradition was going to fly this year, and final details are still being worked out. Stay tuned for more details.

Early Bird has always been more than a sale, more than an excuse to stay in pajamas all day; it’s a day of fun, laughs and camaraderie, a day we celebrate our community while supporting our merchants. And this year, they need us more than ever!
