Down East Yacht Club
A small group of DEYC members enjoyed a fun gathering at the lovely home of Carole McCarthy on Saturday, April 1. Weather and a number of changes in dates accounted for a smaller than usual number of attendees. Nonetheless, those who were able to join the party enjoyed a fun evening. Excited interaction with fun people is always a staple. A scenic view from Molly’s Point was an added attraction.
Carole’s home is decorated with many original works of art that created much conversation. One particular collection that garnered numerous, “Wows” was a wall of birdhouses, each with a particular charm.
The food contributions were as always, a delight to the taste buds. Carole’s German beef stew was a favorite. After a few announcements and more mingling, people began to brave the weather for the drive home.
The annual Commodore’s Luncheon will be held at the Boothbay Harbor Inn Restaurant on May 20.
