Dear Editor:

I am now one year cancer free. This town helped me so much while I was sick, that now I want to help families who attend Maine children's cancer program for their chemo and everything else.

I am holding a bottle drive to raise money to purchase gas cards for families, as gas to and from Scarborough once or more a week can get pricey.

Drop off for the bottles and cans is Saturday, Feb. 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Boothbay Harbor United Methodist Church.

There is also a dinner that night, so if you wish to do so, you may come to the dinner as well.
