An undermanned Boothbay football team lost 24-8 Friday night against Dirigo in Dixfield. The Seahawks entered the game down a couple of players but additional injuries to Michael Hollowell, Kaeden Davis and George Swope only complicated matters against No. 2 Dirigo who improved its record to 5-1. Boothbay is fifth in the nine-team Class E division. 

The loss snapped Boothbay’s three-game winning streak. The Seahawks are now 3-3. Boothbay hosts No. 3 Camden Hills (4-1) at 7 p.m. Friday at Sherman Field. Boothbay Region High School’s Homecoming Weekend game is Oct. 12.
