1-31 – Hike the Holiday Story Trail – Follow the illustrated signs that tell a tale along the trail at Boothbay Region Land Trust’s (BRLT) Oak Point Farm, 60 Samoset Road, Boothbay Harbor. 1-31 – Gardens Aglow –  Walk through Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, transformed into a magical winter wonderland with 750,000 lights across 14 acres. Tickets, info: www.mainegardens.org.

2, 3 -  “It’s A Wonderful Life” - Heartwood presents the original 1940s Lux Radio Theater Show, adapted from the Frank Capra’s movie performed with period costumes, festive set design, and live sound effects and music. 3 – Boothbay Lights: Visits with Santa  – Santa, Mrs. Claus and their North Pole entourage come to town. Wagon rides, lighted boat parade, visit with the Clauses, live Nativity.  Events around downtown Boothbay Harbor. 3 - WW&F Railway Christmas Trains to SeaLyon Farm -  97 Cross Road, Alna. Board your train at Sheepscot station for a 20 minute steam-powered ride through the winter wonderland of Alna to Top of Mountain, to board sleighs and wagons. At SeaLyon Farm, visitors will be able to enjoy a bonfire, hot beverages and food from local vendors, and other fun activities. 3 - Lighted Boat Parade & Sparkle Fireworks - Boothbay Lights presents -  Boat Parade: 6:45 p.m. - fireworks at 7:30 p.m. Best viewing: anywhere around the harbor in Boothbay Harbor.

3, 4 - “Handel and the Christmas Pops” - Presented by the Sheepscot Chorus at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3 and Sunday, Dec. 4 at the Boothbay Harbor Congregational Church, 125 Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor.

11 - “A Charlie Brown Christmas” - The Heather Pierson Trio brings their holiday show to The Waldo Theatre, 916 Main St., Waldoboro at 4 p.m. Doors open at 3 p.m. Adult tickets  available in advance online (https://bit.ly/3V0B7EC) for $20/ $25 the day of the show. Youth (17 and under) tickets are $10. A limited amount of front row seats are available for $35. Tickets will also be available at the box office day of show.

14 – Men's Night – Merchants offer super discounts to finish those Christmas lists and some will even be cooking up burgers and other tasty treats on the sidewalks to keep up your strength.

21- Holiday Potluck & Carol Sing -  Bar open at 5:30 p.m. This holiday tradition returns! Gather with friends and neighbors to celebrate the holiday, bringing a main, side or salad dish to share, and then settle in for an evening of holiday music with pianist Kevin Kiley and vocalists TBA. Dinner beginning at 5:45+, music beginning at 6:30 p.m. A free community event. Donations always welcome
