‘The Dandelion Insurrection’ author speaks in Damariscotta
Coastal Senior College's Challenge of Change discussion group will host the author of “The Dandelion Insurrection,” a protest novel about making change through non-violent action, on Friday, Aug. 21 at the Friends Meeting House in Damariscotta.
Author Rivera Sun, who was raised on an organic farm on the northern border of Maine, has also written two other novels, “Steam Drills, Treadmills, and Shooting Stars” and “Billionaire Buddha.”
In addition, she has written and performs a trilogy of well-received solo theater shows entitled “The Freedom Stories of Lala.” She is currently the co-host of Occupy Radio and the co-founder of the Love-In-Action Network.
The program will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and a vegetarian soup will be shared. Books will be available for purchase and signing. CSC sponsors regular events which are free of charge to the public. For further information, please call Carmen Lavertu at 207-354-9556.
