Damariscove Island: An island that made waves, at Lincoln Home

The Lincoln Home invites the public to learn about Damariscove Island with Boothbay Harbor author/historian Chip Griffin Monday, Nov. 14 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. One of Maine’s earliest settlement sites, this island located outside of Boothbay Harbor has an incredible history that dates back four centuries.
Griffin is the author of “Coming of Age on Damariscove Island, Maine” Downeast Folklore Xxi:1980, a brief historical review of pre-20th century Damariscove Island, and an oral and documented history of Damariscove from 1910 to 1922.
The Lincoln Home is located at 22 River Road overlooking the Damariscotta River in Newcastle.
