Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor
This Sunday, April 2 at the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor, a celebration of the first communion service in Boothbay (250 years ago on April 12, 1767) will take place. As in the old Scottish tradition, communion will be served at long tables at the end of worship. You are invited to wear your tartan if you like. The fifth of a series of sermons for Lent will be offered by the Rev. Dr. Sarah Foulger. The series, "Spiritual Gifts for Stressful Times," continues with "The Gift of Spirit." Worship and Children's Sunday School take place at 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome.
Lenten Learnings
Each Wednesday evening during Lent, from 5:30-7 p.m., there has been a simple soup and bread supper followed by a presentation and discussion on some of the hardest things Jesus asks of followers. This Wednesday, April 5 concludes with: "Put Down the Sword" led by the Rev. Sarah Foulger. Everyone is welcome. Sign up to attend any or all of the sessions and/or sign up to provide a pot of soup or a loaf of bread at Congregational Church: 633-4757.
