Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor
The Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor would like to thank our parishioners and the community as a whole for coming out and showing your support this past Saturday at the Church Christmas Fair. Together we raised over $5,700 for the CRC Fuel Fund! This gift of warmth will cover home heating costs for a month to approximately 35 homes. Together we are making a difference in the lives of our neighbors!
Everyone is invited to the Blue Christmas Service, Monday, Dec. 20 at 5:30 p.m. on Zoom. Blue Christmas? Yes, blue as in the blues. As in "I am feeling blue." Not everyone is happy and cheery for the Christmas holidays. Are you dealing with the death of a loved one, facing life after divorce or separation, coping with the loss of a job, living with cancer or some other disease that puts a question mark over your future? If you find yourself feeling sad during the Christmas season, please join us! This candlelight service will use the song “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” to help us light candles of hope as we acknowledge honestly the challenge, fear, and loss we are going through. Bring your own candle and we will each turn off our lights and sit together in candlelight during the service. Please email admin@congochurchbbh.org for the Zoom link.
Join us in person or online for worship Sundays at 10 a.m. If you wish to continue worshiping from home, you may stream worship live at www.congochurchbbh.org, Facebook, YouTube, or tune into BRTV, channel 7 or 1301 for Spectrum subscribers. This Sunday is the Third Sunday of Advent where we will be Lighting the Candle of Joy and exploring Luke 3:7-18.
Send prayer joys and concerns Heather Lorrain at admin@congochurchbbh.org; Note if you would like to have your prayer shared on Sunday during worship.
You may submit your tithes and offerings online at www.congochurchbbh.org, or mail to Congo Church BBH, P.O. Box 468, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538.
