Costumes and candy galore: Hundreds of kids and adults enjoyed Boothbay Railway Village Museum’s Community Halloween Party Oct. 31.

“People were lined up at quarter of 11, ready to party,” said Charlie Bamberg of BRVM, who was directing traffic and parking next to the old town hall. “There’s quite an assortment of costumes.”

The BRVM train chugged along the track and its whistle was heard through the quiet morning and afternoon, under mostly sunny skies following the early morning torrential downpour. Vendors handed out candy to children trick or treating along the pathways that were mostly dry during the four-hour event.

Halloween music played from one of the buildings at the entrance and inflatables bobbled in the slight wind.
