Coach Pinkham leads early USA Today voting

Boothbay Region High School varsity boys basketball coach, I.J. Pinkham, leads the early voting in the USA Today's online poll, Best High School Boys Basketball Coach, for the northeast/Region 1. The voting for the best coach in the region, which includes one coach each from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York, began January 22 and continues to January 30 at noon.
As of Thursday morning, Jan. 23, Pinkham led John Mirabello of Hartford, Conn., 46 to 41 percent, with the five other coaches receiving less than 10 percent each.
