Clamshell Quilters of Damariscotta will be hosting an evening lecture and an all-day workshop with Adele Scott on Oct. 23 and 24. The location for both events will be the Alna Fire Station, 1647 Alna Road in Alna. 

Friday night’s lecture is free to all area quilters, 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 23. Scott's topic will be “My Favorite Tips, Tricks & Products.” This will be an exciting evening full of laughter and information. Clamshell will provide simple snacks and beverages. 

Saturday, Oct. 24, Scott will present her “On The Edge” workshop, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Cost for the workshop is $35, which will include a kit especially created for the workshop, beverages, lunch, and afternoon snacks. This workshop is geared toward intermediate or advanced quilters and will help them develop options and techniques for designing and finishing quilt edges. This will be a fun-filled, action-packed day.
