The Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors announces a comprehensive search to fill two positions at the business office. They are executive director and the position for events management and member services.

We would like to congratulate both Tony Cameron and Cherie Scott on the new adventures they have chosen to explore. Tony was recruited by and has accepted a position with the Maine Tourism Association as director of marketing and communications. Cherie was recruited by and has accepted a position as director of sales and marketing for Newagen Seaside Inn.

The staff and board also extend many thanks to our membership and friends for their committed support and volunteerism over the years. As we progress with the search for the right individuals to help our chamber continue to grow and develop, we’d like to extend an invitation:

Many times we are asked, “What does our chamber do?” and although we provide different advantages to our diverse membership, we also would love for any of our members to come down and spend some time with us to get a hands-on experience of the many daily tasks and activities that keep these visitors flooding into our region.

This time of year would be perfect; Michelle and Brooke would love to have our members and friends spend some hours in the office to help answer phone inquiries or greet walk-in visitors, join one of our committees or task forces. Join up, please!
