So (as my sister would say), here's the thing.

Over the years, it's come to my attention that two subjects are frequently recorded by many who paint, photograph, sculpt, etch and just generally observe.

Enter exhibit A: The Adirondack chair or chairs. Perched on rocks, in fields of waving grasses, on inn lawns everywhere, plopped on porches, resting gently at water's edge, or rocking and rolling on a float with a glass of wine and a hard cover novel (often accompanied by the scantily clad).

Or exhibit B: Piers. Remnants of piers, piers at sunset, piers in snow, piers with boats, piers collapsing, piers at sunrise, piers with flags, and last but not least, piers with bride and groom and/or entire wedding party.

Considering that I have photographs of all of the above and probably 800 others, I was reluctant to post yet another version. But, risk taker that I am, my coin toss came up chairs! Yes! Disappearing chairs in snow. It seemed like a good compromise. Not a pier, and only partial chairs. Maybe those who over consider these images will tolerate my rendering?
