Call to pray for the nation on 9/11 at Boothbay Baptist
“Cry Out America” is a national call to prayer being held on Sept. 11, Patriot Day, all across the country.
An initiative of the National Day of Prayer Task Force, it urges believers to cry out to the Lord for healing, unity and spiritual revival in the United States during these days of divisiveness, discord and discouragement.
Boothbay Baptist Church will open its doors from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11, for those who would like to take the opportunity to pray for our country, its leaders, the military, law enforcers, families, the church, and so on.
Come into the sanctuary whenever you wish during the day and take a “Cry Out America” pamphlet and a bookmark which provide Scriptural references and prompts to aid in praying.
Sept. 11 is now being called Patriot Day, and just as in the days following the terrorist attack of 2001 when nearly 3,000 innocent Americans were killed and patriots flocked to houses of worship to pray, we are again being called to lift up our country to God for His guidance, healing and blessing.
Boothbay Baptist Church, 999 Wiscasset Road, is located across from the Common at Boothbay Center. For more information call the church office, (207) 633-7378.
