Business closing announcement

Mon, 11/06/2023 - 2:45pm

    Dear Editor:

After many years of just barely scraping by and doing my best to maintain my aging building, equipment and meeting payroll, there comes an unfortunate time when the numbers no longer add up. Hometown Convenience has reached that point and will be closing its doors.

The kitchen will close for good Saturday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m., or as soon as we run out of food to serve. The store will remain open to sell off as much retail product as possible and to tag deer until Wednesday, Nov. 22. On Thursday, Nov. 23, Thanksgiving Day, there will be someone available by calling the store (207-350-4106) to tag deer as well. Please understand that Thanksgiving is a family day so patience and flexibility are a must. We will not be available to tag deer beyond Thanksgiving or the rest of the black powder season.

Please come pay us a visit at the store before we close our doors. I will be selling kitchen equipment and other items. I have supplies that could be used if anyone would like to stop in to see what I have. Some equipment is very new.
