Bulldogs handle Seahawks, 63-33
The Madison Bulldogs improved to 9-7 on the season with a 63-33 win over the Boothbay Region Seahawks at Porter Memorial Gymnasium, BRHS on Tuesday, Jan. 28.
The Seahawks, now 4-12, could not mount much offense against the seventh place Bulldogs. The Seahawks are still hoping to slip into a tournament prelim slot. They are currently in 12th place and need to get to 11th place in the Heal points standings to get a playoff berth. Traip Academy is currently in 11th place.
Leading scorers for Madison were D. Nichols with 15, J. Linkletter with 14, F. Hayne with 10 and E. Linkletter with nine.
Peyton Barter led Boothbay with nine points.
Boothbay is scheduled to host Oak Hill on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m. The Seahawks lost at Oak Hill, 60-47, on Jan. 22. Their final regular season game is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 3, 6:30 p.m., against Lisbon. The Seahawks defeated Lisbon, 53-33, on Dec. 11.
