BRSAF holds donor party at Ocean Point Marina
Five BRHS grads explain how grants assist in college tuition payments

These five Boothbay Region High School graduates attended the Boothbay Region Student Aid Fund annual donor party July 31 at Ocean Point Marina in East Boothbay. In 2019, the Boothbay Region Student Aid Fund provided $405,000 in grants for college tuition. And on July 31, BRSAF thanked the donors whose contributions make the program possible. The donor party was held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ocean Point Marina in East Boothbay.
BRSAF began in 1964. Grants are based on a financial need. The fund reduces local college students’ unmet financial needs for their continuing education. BRSAF has 73 named, memorial and sustaining funds, income from investments and a community fund drive. From 2012 to 2019, the BRSAF provided nearly $2.5 million in grants.
“We are so proud of our community’s continuing participation and its focus on helping our students,” a BRSAF statement reads.
