BRHS students lauded
Dear Editor:
I am writing to acknowledge the exceptional work that Mr. Ben Powell’s freshmen class performed this morning (Oct. 15) for the Woodchucks.
Kyle Ames, Hunter Arsenault, Caitlin Chaousis, Jay Hasch, John Lucas, Colette Perry, Lillian Sherburne, Nicholas Simpson, Denise Stover, Jacob Wilson, J.J. Littlefield and Tony Cocco all spent the morning gathering and stacking firewood at the Boothbay Public Works Depot to fulfill their Community Service commitment.
These students were joined by two other groups from the school toward the end of the work session. Unfortunately, we did not get their names. Nonetheless, we appreciate their contributions.
Your efforts went a long way toward policing the area and toward organizing and protecting the firewood that will be used this heating season by those in need. Thanks so much for your work, and thanks for brightening the morning for some of us old guys.
John King, Maurice Landemare, Bill Smith and Allan Strouss
